Lip International Ltd. is based in leafy Chorlton, Manchester, England

Lip was established in 1984, publishing and distributing black and white photographic art cards, including work of previously unknown photographers.

In 1989 Stephen Mackey, a renowned fine artist, joined the company and in 1990 he designed an exclusive range of greetings cards for Paperchase, which increased the company's profile.

In 1991, Lip teamed up with Notes & Queries, USA's leading gift and stationary distributor. Stephen together with supporting artists, Peter Seal and Scott Rhodes, created the "Celestial" range. Sold in stores throughout America including Macys, Barnes and Noble, Bloomingdales, The Nature Company and Kate's Paperie, the range gained the high profile it retains to this day.

In 1995, Lip's sister company, Red Trousers Ltd. was established. The purpose being to publish the expanding number of card and stationary ranges being produced and developed by Lip International.

In 1996, Lip set up a department to licence artwork. Still in existence today, we work with many licensees throughout Europe and the USA including Cloverleaf, Portal Publications and Paper Products Design. We are always open to suggestions for the use of our imagery.

Today, Lip's stylistic progression has throughout the past years come full circle, the emphasis being work based on photographic images. You'll find our ranges sold in most book, gift and lifestyles shops in the UK, as well as the larger more well known stores including, Paperchase, Selfridges, Liberty's, Scribbler, Paper Tiger, Books etc. to name but a few.
Our product ranges are also available world wide, we have distributors within most parts of the EU as well as in Australia, Canada and the USA.
